Aviators 10, Kings 0

Lafayette, IN – The Champion City Kings were held to just four hits in an eight-inning affair at Lafayette, as the Aviators flew to a 10-0 shutout.

Gabe Phipps (Yorktown, IN; Lake Land College threw well, just allowing three runs until going into the sixth inning. Lafayette did the bulk of their damage in that aforementioned inning, while scoring twice more to end the game in the eighth.

Jayson Zmejkoski (North Port, FL; Tallahassee CC), J.R. Heavilin (Hopedale, OH; Wheeling Univ.), Barry Eiseman (Palm Harbor, FL), and Ben Stuart (Mason, OH; Evansville) all collected a base hit, with another three reaching via the walk. It is the first time the Kings were shutout for the 2022 season.
